Overview

Powerslide Phuzion Argon 100 Black Mens Inline Skates. The Argon sits on top of the Phuzion line, with an enhanced shell, closures, and liner (Recall Padding). Short, urban-style frames promote an aggressive, forward-leaning stance to allow for quick strides and changes in direction. Elite Aluminum Frames are removable and adjustable, making Phuzion boots are compatible with any trinity mount frame from Powerslide should you want to try other frames and/or wheel configurations later on.

Trinity mounting is a 3-point system with a winged mount under the ball of the foot that adds stability and power by lowering the skate height. Casted aluminum frames are strong, responsive and Trinity X has more lateral adjustability to correct ankle roll one way or the other. Powerslide Infinity 100mm 83A Wheels, WCD ABEC7 Carbon Pro Bearings, and HABS (height adjustable brake system) brake.

Specifications

KEY TECHNOLOGIES
Trinity X Mounting
The combination of the 'along' mounting block of the boot with the 'across' mounting slot of the frame. This allows for frame adjustment both laterally (7mm) and front to back (8mm) to individual preference and/or to correct ankles from wanting to roll (pronation/supination). Trinity frames mount at three points with two off-set winged mounts under the ball of the foot that creates a channel for the wheels to lower the skate, adding stability and power at push-off.
HABS Height Adjustable Brake System
An easy and secure brake that allows for the brake pad to adjust up and down to prolong the life of the rubber. A rear axle that is threaded at both ends allows for the installation and removal of the brake with four outer screws that eliminate having to remove the axle or wheel.

Sizing Chart

GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates.
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. How to Try on Inline Skates for Fit.

Great skates with weird fitmentI have tailor's bunions so it's hard to find skates that can accommodate that (soft skates are much easier than hard skates, which have to be punched out or cut). These are the stiffest soft skates I've tried. I love them, but the foot bed is shaped very strangely and required a lot of modification. The skate seems to slope down at the outside edges. If I stand straight with my wheels completely vertical, all of my weight is on the inside edges of my feet, and it feels like the outside edges of my feet are just hanging in the air. It's not just my feet - my wife and kids tried them on and noticed the same thing. And this wasn't just a fluke defective pair, I got the size wrong and had to order another pair, and they had the same fitment. I ended up making my own insoles which are wedge-shaped, to make the footbed feel normal (and not painful!). I first mocked one up with strips of leather glued together, then made the final one with a 3d printer (printed in TPU). Now I have a great skate that fits well but it took me a lot of time and effort to get there!

Strong fitness skateI have a background of distance skating. My go-to was always K2. I took a few years off and wanted to return to fitness with some light cross-training. Powerslide is the best bang for the buck. The boot is extremely well constructed. It’s snug in the ankles, where it needs to be. My only complaint is how snug the toe box is. I already have a narrow foot. I can’t imagine having a wide foot. The wheels are basic but for the cost of the skate, work just fine. Having a Trinity frame for a skate that is $200 is ridiculous. I love that. Overall a solid fitness skate that is affordable and no break-in required.

Fantastic skatesI bought these after having issues with my (more expensive) 110mm fitness skates. I like that the Phuzion’s have a shorter distance from axel to axel than other major brands. This makes crossing over on turns a lot easier. They feel extremely sturdy and the trinity frames make adjustments quick and easy (I don’t even have to take them off). The weakest link is definitely the wheels. Unless you have a really bumpy road, I would swap out the wheels and keep the bearings. Well worth the price.

These thing really roll!I had a pair of one of the original Rollerblades back in the 90s and, after upgrading the bearings, I skated the heck out of them. Boy, I loved those skates. So anyways, that's my point of reference. That and a pair of cheapy skates I got off Amazon last year. These Powerslide skates are lightweight, the memory foam is stiff but comfy (needs a couple of sessions to break in) and they are fast. Very easy to push off and quick to get up to speed. Moving from 80mm wheels to 100mm's was no issue, I just feel a little taller and the increased speed is welcome while still being as maneuverable as what I am used to in an urban skate. Though I'm not a fan of all black, they do look good. All around these are a super fun pair of skates for under $200. Inline Warehouse is great too.

Comments: Without a doubt the best skates I have purchased to date. I own about 3 pairs of skates (80MM, 90MM, and 100MM) and these were my 4th. I purchased these after I purchased my 100M skates from a very well known brand and while they felt sturdy and could roll over anything on the street, the maneuverability was just not there if I wanted to zip around people. These are light, comfortable and have great grip and agility. I was surprised as to how fast I was going but also how much grip I had. All I could think in my head was WOW, this is a game changer. I may be just been converted to a Powerslide fan for life. Still need to get another 90MM pair so will definitely get some Powerslides.

Comments: Ive had these skates for almost a month and so far they have been great!! The quality is really good for the price, and they are really comfortable
From: Anonymous, 10/29/20

Comments: My first pair of skates since I was a child! I wanted to go with triskates based on research I had been doing and these seemed like the most affordable (quality) option. First impression: they squeak a bit, but they look really good, they're comfortable, and they're quick. I have only used them 20 or 30 times at this point but I'm very happy with them overall. Not perfect obviously but they're a good buy for $215. I took the brake off immediately and it allowed for more maneuverability but it's kind of sketchy at the same time because I feel like I'm going to fall backwards the way the wheels are positioned haha. That's probably just user error though. Good skates, 9/10

Comments: Really impressed with these skates. The fit is awesome. These came highly recommended by the IW staff and I'm glad I listed. I came from a pretty old school pair of k2 softboots which is my frame of reference. They are a little narrow in the toe, so you may want to size up if your feet are wide. You can also try different in-soles, or remove the soles that come with it. Both should help if they feel tight in the toe.
The ankle support is great, and you do not feel like you're on 100mm wheels. I don't feel much different than skating on my old 4x76mm's. The tri-frame really lowers your center of gravity and you feel very in control with great ankle support.
Can't recommend these enough. I've definitely been converted to a powerslide buyer from here on out. You can tell that company loves skating and it shows.

Comments: These are my first really comfortable pair of skates in a long time. My first run out with them was a bit uncomfortable as I use roughly the same lace/clip pressure as my old skates. The next time though -- because there are so many adjustments available -- I was able to ratchet the clips much tighter and everything felt perfect.
These skates are also fast of course. I'll need to find a few fast paths to break my previous Strava records.

Comments: This skate boot runs smaller than Powerslide's Imperial boot. They look amazing though! Love the dark clear wheels.

Comments: I've ordered the Argon 100s a few weeks ago, my first triskate ever. It arrived to new Zealand in under 2 weeks and I love it. It's the most comfortable pair I've ever used. I ordered my true size 42 or US 9 and it feels a little too snug, could have gone with a US 10 but it doesn't hurt at all, I use it for 2hrs daily commute and it is so good and comfortable. Best pair I've ever bought. Next is the 110 model Final thoughts: Thank you so much! Love my new argon!!! Great service and excellent communication.

Comments: I was previously using Bauer Hi-Lo inline skates to do a lot of urban riding - they got too beat up over time. But these skates from Powerslide have been fully reliable in the first month of use. I'm surprised at how durable yet grippy the wheels have felt despite mileage on some rougher/poorly paved city streets. To be sure, I'm still planning to do my first tune-up in a week or two (rotating wheels, cleaning & lubricating, etc.), but I've been very happy with these skates so far. I hope they stay as sturdy, comfortable and reliable as they've been in this first month.

Comments: I give this skate a 4/5 star review. My style is mostly fitness skating on long flat stretches of desert roads. The first time out in these skates, I did about 13 miles. Towards the end I felt did feel some heat blisters starting on the outside of my big toes, but it was reasonable given new skates. I would have preferred buying 110mm version of this skate, but my size was not available. I plan to buy a 110 frame as soon as they become available. I was a long distance runner and mountain hiker, but have and achilles tendon injury. Skating (with high ankle support) is my only option for outdoor endurance exercise. I played roller hockey as a kid in the 90's, but this is my first time getting back into skates since then. Half size shoes should size down unless you have wide feet. I normally wear a 9.5 US men's shoe and the size 9 fits good. This is my first skate with a ratchet strap in the mid section... and I would never recommend Velcro to any long distance skater. There was a fair amount of hard plastic drill debris left over under the insoles. This is typical poor quality control, but a very easy fix by removing the insoles and cleaning out the debris. I like the low profile of the Trinity frame and the amount of ventilation of these boots. I just wish they had lighter colors available for those who live in hot climates.

Comments: I have been skating for a few years, fitness type, on a well known brand, but I could never feel comfortable. This design is a game changer, with the lower center of gravity, while still on 100 mm. The shoe is very comfortable, if you make sure to size it well and add insole or double sock as needed for the smaller foot. The adjustable frame is also very useful to compensate for ankle roll. The 45 degrees ratchet is excellent, far superior to a velcro strap, and improves greatly the control. The cuff is very comfortable and does not hurt the shin. With these skates, I am now transitioning away from only fitness to more advanced skills thanks to its maneuverability. Very good performance overall for the price. A truly engineered design.
From: John, Los Angeles, CA, 5/2/21

Comments: Have had them for about a month. Switched from CCM hockey blades with 80mm wheels. The hockey skates are actually faster than these, with more mobility, but these are the most comfortable skates I've ever owned, and quick on/off with the buckles. I switched out the bearings for the same ones as in my hockey skates (cheap "abec 11" bearings from amazon) and the skates are now as fast as my hockey skates. Who knows how long the bearings will last considering the cost, but they're serviceable, so there's that.

Comments: Amazing product! You won't be disappointed with these skates like I was disappointed with my ex! You can ride these things for hours and hours with little upkeep.  Wheel quality good, barrings seem to be lasting amazingly so far, the skate itself is super sturdy and well balanced. All around good skates!

Comments: Fantastic product! I love the fit and the maneuverability. Fast skates! I would recommend to anyone

Comments: Love my new inline skates! Shipping was fast as well. So far the Phuzion Argon has been awesome. I used to have the old school i lines when I was younger so decided to try the Tri wheel design and feel like they are a lot of fun. Overall a good pick
